| Anna Paquin, a New Zealand-Canadian actress and film theater performer, is well known for roles such as The PianoFly Away Home and X-Men. Her first foray into the industry at the age of eleven when she appeared in The Piano for which she was awarded the Oscar Award for Best Actress in a supporting role. The actress had no intention of be an actor, but destiny determined otherwise. Following her success in her debut film she received many offers which she did not accept in order to concentrate on her studies. After her debut film was a success, at age 14, she was offered roles in Jane Eyreand the Fly Away Homefilms series. The year 2000 saw her play Rogue, the formidable mutant Roguein the XMen films series. The role she took upon landed her in the limelight. In X2 and X-Men the Last Stand, she reprised the role of Rogue. Soon after was she receiving requests from television producers to be a part of in shows like True Bloodand Flack. |
