Yael Stein was born in Australian living in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael completed her studies at NIDA. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky to have worked with some of the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of theatre and visionaries who work working behind the scenes of film as well as theatre and television. Yael leads a highly successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's move to New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael is the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is a studio located at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and inventive, innovative ventures.
