Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress famous for her character Bo in The Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk as well as Peter Silk were the fathers of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director. She also is a drama teacher at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a kid. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk made the move to Toronto to further her acting career in November 1999. She then, over the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009, and then married at a civil ceremony that was held in December. They renewed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton, after the woman changed her religion to Judaism. Silk got a baby that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born child on the 13th of May 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the final production of the season 3 finale and announced this to viewers on Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she was ready to return to work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of final season of production. CNN named Bo's portrayal alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular TV couples of all time. E! voted it the top couple on TV for the year 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk has an enormous online fan base on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its success.
